A five-day ICMR-sponsored national workshop on Strengthening Research Capacity in Next Generation Healthcare Technologies: AI, Molecular Diagnostics and Precision Medicine was inaugurated at Nehru College of Pharmacy, Thrissur, on Monday.
The workshop, organised by Nehru College of Pharmacy, Thrissur, in association with Nehru Arts and Science College, Coimbatore, is being held from October 5 to 9, 2026.
The inaugural session began with a one-minute silent prayer in memory of the late Sri P. K. Das, founder Chairman, followed by a prayer song.
Dr. D. Vijay Kumar, Principal, Nehru College of Pharmacy, delivered the welcome address.
The inaugural address was delivered by Dr. A. P. Jayaraman, Principal Scientific Advisor, NGI, Scientist Communicator and President, STEAM Academy Chairman, NCSC.
Dr. Radhakrishnan R. Nair, Scientist G, Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology, conducted the scientific plenary.
The inaugural session concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Suresh V. Chennupati, Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Analysis, Nehru College of Pharmacy.
